Crew Local

Crew Local is the most powerful and comprehensive technician management system for union locals in the Film and Television industry available anywhere in the world.

Crew Local is proven technology purpose-built for the film and television industry and has powered a $3.2 billion film and television market for over a decade.

Crew Local manages your Local's membership database, handles complex crewing and dispatch, availabilities, dues billing + invoicing + tax receipts, remittance import and analysis, training scheduling, certifications, applications for permit status, applications for member status, instant distribution of mass emails based on department / category / role,  and more.

The structure is scalable in the cloud while adhering to the highest security best practices, including multi-factor authentication.

From a single screen you can view a member's entire profile:

  • legal and preferred names
  • full contact details (phone, email address, postal address)
  • department(s) / category(s)
  • member number
  • certifications
  • staff-view-only Administrative notes
  • important dates: initiation, seniority, birth, reinstatement
  • health ID (where applicable)
  • optional identification within Equity Seeking Groups
  • optional Gender identification
  • SSN / SIN
  • communications preferences
  • important documents associated with the member: initial application form, performance letters from productions, legal documents, etc

The Crewing functionality integrates across Productions (which will hold a full history of your local's productions), technicians (Members, Permits, Externals), availabilities (online, phone in), call types, call rules. Automated notifications and call confirmations, customized rules for seniority or name hire scenarios, bumping, book-offs, etc.

Our Dues module includes invoice generation and email distribution, post-dated billing, pre-authorized payments, online payments, automated changes to delinquent or suspended status (based on your rules) with email notification for members who fail to stay in good standing, tax receipt generation and email distribution, analysis reports, and more.

Our Remittance module will import files from payroll companies (e.g. EP), match productions and technicians, flag non-matches, provides quick online analysis, reporting, and consolidates data into powerful business reports.

Within the Training module, and administator can create courses, track registrants, generate certifications upon completion, trigger post-training surveys, and more.

Onboarding new technicians is done entirely online so that the burden of preparing the application is pushed entirely to the applicant. The local only sees fully complete applications that meet your specified requirements, and then can move the applications through a workflow until rejection or acceptance, all with automated emails triggered to applicants as required.

Please to get a true sense of the power of CrewLocal.
